Timeless Pieces

Mac Douglas - Pyla

I bought this bag about a month ago now and since I've been its proud owner I have to say that compliments keep flying my way whenever I wear it. It's a variation on a classic, the camel pyla style, but the studs give it a younger, rockier feel. I love it!

I have to add though that it is very heavy, being real leather and all. As it is a big bag, I tend to overload it with things, and usually by the end of the day my shoulder bears the marks of having lugged it around everywhere. It's the bigger size, I think it's an M, meaning it can be easily slipped onto the shoulder, although it remains a bag that you wear on the middle of your arm. It comes with a shoulder strap though, and that's the way I wore it when I took the plane to Crete.

It's uni time soon, and I had bought this with the intention of using it as my everyday school bag, we'll have to see whether its weight will dissuade me to use it or not.

Other than that, it is a versatile piece. The buckle that does it up can be worn on the outside, like in the photo above, or it can be fixed underneath the leather so that you don't have to undo it all the time. Leaving the lock undone makes the bag spacier and not so slender (perfect for text books!). And finally you can tuck the top leather part inside of the bag, leaving it open and everything is easier to grab that way.

Obviously, I would love to be able to afford the Hermès - Birkin bag... Unfortunately, I am only a student for now, so this will have to do!

Welcome!

Hello and welcome to my very first beauty and fashion related blog!

Now, I've been following beauty gurus on youtube for quite some time now. The very first beauty guru I started following was Lisa Eldridge, and I still read her blog religiously. If you don't know who she is, I highly recommend that you check out her website linked above, she is amazing! Since then I think it's fair to say that I have become completely and utterly obsessed with all things glamourous.

My obsession has now pushed me to start this blog... So, who am I? My name's Delphine, I'm 22 and I'm an English student here in the south of France.

Without further ado, good reading to you all!
